On our annual A/C check the technician used a tool that he hand held under the A/C vent to measure the temperature the blow air conditioning out of the vent. What is this tool called as my husband wants one for Fatherr’s Day (sounds like a plan to me!

We use an infrared thermometer to measure the temp of the vent grill (which tells us the temperature of the air coming from the A/C vents). You can buy one at Sears for around $60. It has a little laser pointer that shows you where you are pointing it (and returns the temp without touching).
i was just telling my wife i want one . but it is a order thing . it measures the temp on the spot . a good place to find one is at a weather control station . it is better than that one . i will see if i can get one to post you .
its in inferred thermometer with a red laser pointer try online costs about 100 $ or it wont work right if much cheaper
